TIMP란?

  • TIMP-1,2,3,4는 MMP, ADAM 및 ADMATS로 알려진 zinc metalloprotease의 활성을 조절합니다. N말단 도메인은 성숙한 metalloprotease의 활성 부위에 결합하여 촉매 부위에 substrate의 접근을 차단하고, TIMP-1, TIMP-2의 C말단 도메인은 pro-MMP-9 및 pro-MMP-2의 hemopexin-like domain에 결합합니다.
